Pyments Xmas Bash: 2009

This year's Xmas bash was a Karting event in Stourbridge followed by a few beers and Karaoke at a local hostelry back in Alcester.

A good time was had by all especially the Karting winner Andy Green, who has provided his humorous race analysis below:-

In the pressure cooker environment of motor sport psychology plays an integral part of the game, Pyments Xmas Karting challenge proved to be no different with drivers talking themselves up or down as the big day approached.

Odds were given on certain drivers to out perform others or on how many other drivers they could nudge out of the way to get to the front.

Ex single seater & rally man Tim was expecting to be a podium contender & talked a good game, Andy also ex racer & current kart racer could only lose face if not wining races, so was a target for everyone else especially as he choose to dress as the Stig in a dark visor helmet & shiny white race suit!!

Brendan had a plan, which mirrored a Dick Dastardly cartoon, Dan had a ballast problem, Lee was quietly confidant, Alan was going for points, Mark hates losing, Adam had to uphold CVA honours if Andy was eliminated by Dick Dastardly, Stuart was a model of concentration, Rob wanted to get to the pub & Rhiann is a girl – but definitely not to be crossed.
